It’s Time to Start Decorating
Our team is available to help with lighting, wreathes, garland and any other needs. We can create arrangements with holly, berry sprigs, pine cones, and a variety of colorful hearty plants for patios, decks, walkways, and front doors.
Don’t forget container plantings and window boxes. There are so many varieties of evergreens, flowers and berries available now that will add color to any space.
November To Dos
- Continue to thoroughly water trees, shrubs, planting beds and the lawn until the ground freezes.
- Keep fallen leaves and debris on perennials. They will benefit from a layer of insulation and many helpful insects such as ladybugs rely on seasonal debris to survive the winter.
- Cover boxwood and broad-leaved evergreens with burlap to shield them from the cold and wind.
- Protect shrubs from deer with burlap or netting.
Property Maintenance
Trimming is so important to do now. The last thing you want is a tree branch damaging your home or property. Before winter weather hits, let us inspect and trim your trees, shrubs, bushes and hedges. It will be beneficial for plants in the spring and help prevent weakened branches from causing a serious problem.
Winterize Hardscapes
This is the time to check for any cracks in concrete, brick or stone patios, decks, and walkways. We can make repairs and apply a weather-resistant sealant for protection in the winter months. It will prevent any costly damage.
Happy Thanksgiving!
